Elsa, the future queen of Arendelle, has always kept herself shut away from others, because she has dangerous magic powers. But when she’s crowned, the castle opens its doors for a day. During the festivities, Elsa’s younger sister Anna falls in love with the noble Hans and asks for permission to marry him. Upset by Anna’s naïveté, Elsa loses control of her magic – with fatal results: she turns the kingdom into a snowy landscape. Surprised at her own actions, Elsa runs away, leaving her people behind in anguish.
